Stay Focused

I know I certainly got distracted a lot when I first started out. I had set my targets and I knew what I wanted to achieve, but because I was new onto the internet marketing scene, lots of different people kept talking about all of the success they had which made me want to try out what they did.

Fortunately, I didn’t lose get too distracted by these instant money methods as I managed to see that they needed lots of time to research what you were actually doing. Because of this I could also see that they weren’t so instant and I had just as much chance of making as much money if I stay focused on my initial idea.

Just think about it. You’ve only just started your new business and things aren’t going well because you’re only in the early stages and you don’t have much traffic coming to your site, therefore you aren’t making much money (if any at all) off your affiliate products or adsense. You then hear about somebody that claims that they can make instant profit with google adwords by advertising an affiliate product and getting lots of sales.

You have to be realistic at this stage. Unless you have already spent lots of your time searching for specific keywords that will get you sales for the specific affiliate product, you will more than likely end up losing your money. This is because you would end up paying too much money per click and end up with non converting traffic which means you would make no sales.

If you do want to make it as a successful Internet Marketer, then you will certainly need to stay focused on your own way of making your money. If you do stay focused, then there will be a time when you no longer need to spend as much time on a certain project, but you will still be reaping all of the rewards from the hard work you have previously spent. This is when you can start to diversify your internet marketing portfolio and start to bring in some other money making methods.

Making Your First Fiverr Online!

Fiverr

Make a Fiverr

Fiverr is a place to share things that you’re willing to do with people for $5. This can be anything from making graphics for someone, to making a cool Youtube intro video. There are lots of people that buy on Fiverr so as long as your ‘Gig’ is interesting, then you’ll be able to start making your first bit of money on the internet.

You have to find something that you’re fairly good at, and then convince people that they should order your services. I started with helping people out with their wordpress sites. I didn’t get any orders for about two days, but when I did I made sure I completed it as quickly and as well as I could. This led to good feedback and a repeat purchase. After my first couple of orders, people could see that I had 100% feedback on fiverr and that they could trust me to fulfil their order – This is when I started getting orders daily.

Because I only needed to make a certain amount of money from Fiverr (enough for a domain name and hosting), I decided to take down my gig and wait for the money to clear while I started working on other projects.

The only downside to Fiverr is that it takes roughly two weeks for your money to clear. This is because it is done through paypal and they have to make sure that the money is cleared before they let you withdraw it. This means that you won’t be able to invest in your own internet marketing website or project straight away, but you will at least have made some money on the internet that you can use in a couple of weeks.

Setting Your Internet Marketing Targets

Set Your Targets

Set Your Targets

There is a lot of competition in Internet Marketing. Because of this, unless you are promoting the product that everybody wants, it might take you a bit of time to start making your first bit of money on the internet.

To stop you from getting too disheartened after seeing no sales for your first week, I suggest you set yourself some simple targets to achieve.

When I first started, I decided to lay out a few targets to achieve. This way I could be both motivated to achieve these targets, and over the moon when I have achieved them!

My Initial Targets were:
-Achieve My First Sale
-Achieve 5 Sales
-Achieve 20 Sales

It is important that your initial targets are not too high and are achievable. If you can’t think of any targets for yourself then I suggest you use mine.

My Long-term Targets
-Achieve enough money per week to live a comfy life

Obviously it is important to have an overall target so you know what you want to achieve in Internet Marketing. You may just want to get some part time income that you can use to buy a new car, who knows?!

Without targets, you don’t know if you are heading in the right direction or not and you don’t get the satisfaction in crossing them off as completed once you have surpassed that target. That is why before you start trying to earn your money on the internet, I believe it is essential that you have somewhere to aim.
